Three Branches Logo

Three Branches is for those who seek meaningful engagement and artistic flourishing. Initiated by international artists Ayumi Paul, Ilit Azoulay, and Sam Durant, it sees artists, collectors, and supporters not as separate groups but as collaborators.

In a world where art is often mediated by dealers, advisors, and institutions, Three Branches offers something different: a direct invitation to learn and think alongside them, and to participate in a living exchange.

The story begins in Berlin. In late 2023, Ayumi Paul introduced Sam Durant and Ilit Azoulay, sparking a conversation that soon led the three to share a studio floor in the city's Lichtenberg district. With Moroccan Jewish, Japanese German, and Euro-American roots, and distinct practices across sound, photography, sculpture, and social engagement, they discovered unexpected common ground. Out of these conversations, Three Branches was born—a commitment to open new ways of engaging with art.

Members are part of a dialogue as new projects take shape in the studios. They are invited into a journey of discovery, where the studios become spaces of dialogue and exchange. The process is driven by curiosity and conversation, creating a rare space where knowledge, experience, and artistic practice come together.

The artists curate an exclusive program, ranging from intimate studio events to private exhibition previews and other unique encounters. These experiences are designed to provide rare access and new perspectives on art and its possibilities.

We would be delighted for you to join Three Branches, a vital initiative where art, ideas, and community come together.
